International conference
12 November 2004 - Genoa European Capital of Culture

Aldo Rossi's Red Chair exhibited in the S. Matthew cloister, headquarters of the Order of Architects of Genoa.

Following the 1st conference "Housing, a quality issue" hold in Brussels on 28 November 2003, the CIVA Brussels organizes the 2nd meeting relative to innovative housing in Europe within the Gaudi programme.

Dans le cadre de GAUDI (Gouvernance, Architecture et Urbanisme: démocratie et interaction), Le CIVA développe un projet consacré à l’habitation innovante en Europe.

"La question de l’habitat est aujourd’hui traversée par un ensemble d’enjeux d’autant plus
fondamentaux qu’ils touchent à l’une des conditions essentielles de la dignité humaine.
Dans un contexte dominé par l’économie de marché et la transformation des conditions
de la production architecturale, ces enjeux sont multiples: techniques, environnementaux,
sociaux, anthropologiques, culturels et politiques. Ils constituent pour les architectes et

5th European Biennial of Towns and Town Planners
10-12 April 2003

The Fifth European Biennial of Towns and Town Planners is promoted by the European Council of Town Planners (ECTP). On this occasion it is organized by the Spanish and the Catalan Association of Urban Planners (AETU/ACTU) and counts with the support of the Government of Catalonia and the City Council of Barcelona. The three-day conference will include workshops, excursions and an exhibition of selected projects from European cities and regions.
