Dans le cadre de GAUDI (Gouvernance, Architecture et Urbanisme: démocratie
et interaction), Le CIVA développe un projet consacré à l’habitation
innovante en Europe.
"La question de l’habitat est aujourd’hui traversée
par un ensemble d’enjeux d’autant plus
fondamentaux qu’ils touchent à l’une des conditions essentielles
de la dignité humaine.
Dans un contexte dominé par l’économie de marché et
la transformation des conditions
de la production architecturale, ces enjeux sont multiples: techniques, environnementaux,
sociaux, anthropologiques, culturels et politiques. Ils constituent pour les
architectes et
les pouvoirs publics une responsabilité qu’ils ne peuvent éluder”.

Athens and Spetses
The Berlage Institute organizes an international forum and workshop
for young architects in collaboration with the Mies van der Rohe Foundation
(Barcelona) and the Institut Français d’Architecture (Paris).
This event is the third of a series of three within the framework of
the GAUDI program. Local partner in Athens is the Greek Ministry of Culture
and in Spetses the Patras School of Architecture.

First European Architecture Festival

The first european architecture festival aims to initiate an event with
the widest popular appeal,where the fun of discovery and celebration
can be associated with a new perspective on contemporary architecture.
There should only be one motto: to spread the enthusiasm for architecture
by extending it outside of specialists, by means of festive, educational
and artistic projects.

5th European Biennial of Towns and Town Planners
10-12 April 2003
The Fifth European
Biennial of Towns and Town Planners is promoted by the European
Council of Town Planners (ECTP).
On this occasion it is organized by the Spanish and the Catalan Association
of Urban Planners (AETU/ACTU) and counts with the support of the Government
of Catalonia and the City Council of Barcelona. The three-day conference
will include workshops, excursions and an exhibition of selected projects
from European cities and regions.

Architectural Policies: learning from the European
experience
The Architecture Foundation hosted the first pilot meeting
of the Leaders’ Club - coordinated by Istituto di Cultura Architettonica
promosso dal Consiglio Nazionale degli Architetti (ICAR) in Rome - to
coincide with an international conference held in London on 18-19 June
2002 titled The Value of Architecture Centres: Uniting People and Places.
