B2: Club of Leaders committed to Architecture

Meeting n°2 - Bari (Italy) - 31 October 2003

A new urban democracy
Architecture between competition and co-operation

The objective of the Leaders' Club is to hold meetings on a regular basis bringing together political and economic leaders who have decided to make architecture an integral part of their urban policy or corporate policy. The program of this topic foresees annual meetings during the 3-year funding period.

Following the 1st test-meeting hold on 17 June 2003 in London, the Istituto di Cultura Architettonica promosso dal Consiglio Nazionale degli Architetti (ICAR) hosted the second meeting of the Leaders' Club to coincide with the VI National Congress of Italian Architects. More than 1000 architects and several political personalities and administrative representatives attended the event that was transmitted by the national and local televisions.
