Culture 2000 programme European Union
The GAUDI programme is supported by the Culture 2000 programme of the European Union.

C2: Coordination of the agreement

Objectives

Co-ordinating all the programmes planned for the GAUDI network in order to allow their development. Researching support for the extension of the main projects beyond the three-years agreement, in substitution for the initial funding of the European Union.

Supervising the development of the agreement in the direction of other countries and an extended network of regional partners.

Nature of the action

An European secretariat will manage the agreement and will take care of dispatching the programme of meetings and actions, entertaining permanent dialogue between the co-organisers and the partners. E-mail will be an essential tool for this type of communication.

The secretariat will also co-ordinate and support the action of the co-organisers toward architectural institutions in the Central and Eastern European Countries and in the countries aspiring at joining the European Union, in order to pave the way to an extension of the network. It will supervise the relationships between GAUDI and the European Forum of Architectural Policies.

Co-ordination is not oriented toward non specialised audiences, and addresses essentially professional, scientific and political groups and individuals involved in the development of the agreement's programmes.

Products – expected results

The major result expected from this part of the programme is capitalisation by all the participating institutions of the results achieved for each particular action and their extension toward a broader network.

Distribution

GAUDI's web site (see project C1) will be the principal instrument for the distribution of information and for contact between the participants. The site will have to be furnished with texts and images. Other joint actions of communication dealing with the media will be undertaken by the co-ordinating organism.

Calendar

Co-ordination of the agreement will be continuous and parallel to the development of GAUDI's programs. This component of the agreement cannot not therefore be divided into annual phases.
