Culture 2000 programme European Union
The GAUDI programme is supported by the Culture 2000 programme of the European Union.

B: Education and dissemination to the general public

These actions are primarily geared to non-specialist audiences, to raise their level of knowledge and furthermore to strengthen their ability to deal on an everyday basis with matters of architecture and urbanism and make informed decisions early on in the process. They must ensure the possibility of capitalising on the experience of participating organisations and of passing on this experience to citizens involved in city administration and to the children whose role it will be to do so tomorrow. These actions will also be nurtured by the commitment of leaders of opinion who are cognisant of architectural issues and able to voice their convictions before the broadest possible audience. The ultimate purpose of these actions will be the holding of cultural and festive events in which architecture will be celebrated in a pleasurable way but will also be the solution to daily concerns raised.
