Culture 2000 programme European Union
The GAUDI programme is supported by the Culture 2000 programme of the European Union.

A: Research, Memory and Project

Strengthening interaction between the citizens of Europe, architectural heritage and contemporary creation requires the pooling of various knowledge sets as well as improving their coherence and legibility at the level of the Union. In the area of memory, the development of convergence of methodologies between various archive collections presupposes a scientific effort which over time will yield benefits to professional and non-professional users alike. The designing of projects will include the involvement of young professionals from various European cities in yearly workshops in such a way as to ensure that creative work will be carried out in tune with the expectations and requirements of users. Where memory and invention come together, the best way to combine historical knowledge and the curiosity of citizens is to make explicit the resource constituted by the innovating housing built since 1900.
